For us, one of the most enjoyable parts of running the holiday park is connecting with fellow travellers. We love hearing about the beautiful places people have visited, sharing stories of life's adventures and getting to know the guests who stay with us.

Our story – from bush camp to holiday park
Cape Jaffa Holiday Park was originally established around 1979 as a bush camp known as Cape Jaffa Caravan Park.
Over the years, the park developed with the addition of power connections and water taps, making it more convenient for caravan and camping visitors. A liquor licence was introduced during the 1980s.
In 2022, the park was rebranded as Cape Jaffa Holiday Park, reflecting its accommodation options and continued role in welcoming visitors to this part of the Limestone Coast.
Today, the park offers standard and ensuite cabins, spacious powered caravan sites and unpowered camping, along with a camp kitchen, BBQs, shared amenities, kiosk and fishing and boating supplies.
While the facilities have developed over time, the park has retained the relaxed, personal atmosphere that makes Cape Jaffa special.
Our connection to Cape Jaffa and its history
Cape Jaffa is a small fishing town on South Australia's Limestone Coast, with a history closely connected to maritime exploration and the local lighthouse.
Originally named Cape Bernouilli by French explorer Nicolas Baudin, it later became known as Cape Jaffa following Matthew Flinders' exploration of the coastline.
The area was also known as King's Camp, after W. F. King, who constructed the Cape Jaffa Lighthouse, completed in 1872.
The lighthouse was dismantled in 1974 and relocated to Kingston SE, where it remains an important part of the region's maritime heritage. The original lighthouse platform remains offshore as a historic site and a Gannet Rookery.
Closer to shore, the ruins of the former lighthouse keepers' cottages and remnants of their English-style garden offer another reminder of Cape Jaffa's past.
Today, visitors can enjoy the area's fishing, beaches, marina, coastal walks and nearby attractions, with Robe and Kingston SE within easy reach.
